I left the hospital Monday afternoon after a rough 24 hours. I don't know how women can spend 4,8,10 or even more weeks in there without losing their minds.
While I was in the hospital, I got a really bad headache. It wouldn't go away so they started to give me Tylenol 3 with codeine last Friday. I ended up getting sick from it and started throwing up everything I put in my mouth on Sunday morning. By Monday morning, I hadn't had anything to eat in at least 24 hours, they wouldn't feed me (because they were worried that they would have to deliver) and the heart rate monitoring had been challenging since I would have to puck during the middle of it. I am not a doctor but, I know that pregnant women need to eat!! I was hungry, thirsty and couldn't understand why NO ONE would get me something to eat or even something to drink. The ultrasound that I had Monday morning was also good! Everything was normal, I couldn't figure out why I was still not getting any food!!
Brian and I were not going to have babies at 25 weeks!!!! I know that modern medicine allows babies to survive at this gestation but, it is just not natural! If god intended women to give birth at 25 weeks we would have children then. Not to mention all the serious long term complications that go allow with delivering that early, I needed these babies to "cook" longer.
I called Brian frustrated and stressed out and he came to bust me out of the hospital. We figured, if we were not ready to deliver why should I sit there!
Right now the plan is to stay out of the hospital until we are ready to deliver. I have had 2 ultrasounds since I have been home and they have been normal. I will continue to have 2 ultrasounds a week until 28 weeks and then we will reassess.
This photo is from Friday the 19th. I am 26weeks and getting BIG. I have been feeling good except for the babies moving up into my lungs. It is hard for me to breathe.
